PRE-BALLET
ages: 4-6

Pre-Ballet is designed to teach the joy of movement to young children. Formal classical ballet training begins with level 1. Movements are taught based on natural body rhythms and steps. Ballet is introduced, but only as a point of introduction to some of the terms and steps.            Registration Form

*** Maryann Johnson, director of the Pre-Ballet division. Maryann has studied classical ballet and performed professionally throughout the twin cities. Also, Maryann is a registered physical therapist and has taught physical therapy for dancers at the Minnesota DanceCamp.

Tuition:

Fees: There are 2 fees, each paid once yearly.
        Registration Fee:  $35.00  (one time yearly due at registration)
        Organiation Fee:  $40.00  ($20.00 will be credited back to tuition if parents volunteer)
        NOTE: There are no costume or performance fees.


Sessions: Each session is 11 weeks long.
        Fall.............Monday, September 8, 2003 - Saturday, November 22, 2003
        Winter.........Monday, November 24, 2003 - Saturday, February 28, 2004
        Spring.........Monday, March 1, 2004 - Saturday, May 22, 2004


Placement/Auditions are not required for pre-ballet. These classes are based on age. There is a 4-year old class, a 5-year old class and a 6-year old class. Each class is one hour long.


Performances: Pre-Ballet students have the oppourtunity to perform in two productions produced by Ballet Minnesota. Please note. a student must be registered as a CBA student at the time of the production in order to perform.

        16th Minnesota Dance Festival .......April 27 - May 2, 2004, Fitzgerald Theter, St Paul


Clothing: Pre-Ballet are allowed to wear any color combination in class. However, if a child is 6 years old, we sugget all pink (pink tights, leotard and ballet slippers), since that is the dress code for Ballet 1.


Registraion:. There is a two page registration form which the parent / guardian is required to fill out and sign in order to hold a place in class. The first page is general information (name, addrees, etc) and the second page covers CBA rules and regulations.         Registration Form
