About the Dance Camp

History of Dance Camp
The DanceCamp was established in 1994 by
co-directors Cheryl & Andrew Rist
in order to create an excellent situation for students to learn,
relax and reflect. Master
teachers from around the country are brought in to work with
the students in many
different disciplines of dance. Company members from Ballet Minnesota
also attend
the camp as teachers and councelors. And, on the final day, a
performance by the
camp students allow parent's and guests to see what was learned
at Camp.
About Camp Ojiketa:
Camp Ojiketa is
owned by Camp Fire Boys and Girls. The Camp is a large and
beautifully wooded area located on the shores of Green Lake in
Chisago City, Minn-
esota, providing a perfect setting for learning, recreation and
relaxation.
The Camp Ojiketa facility is accredited by
the Amercan Camping Association (ACA).
This nationally recognized program, ACA, focuses on progam quality,
health and
safety issues; and, requires the camp to review every facet of
operation.
